As one of Texas A&Ms earliest financial contributors, he inspired others with his selfless giving and funded three Presidents Endowed Scholarships (PES). As the Class of 1912s agent, he also coordinated with his classmates to establish the first class-sponsored PES. Determined to meet the $25,000 financial requirement while respecting his classmates personal finances, he encouraged his peers to leave donations in their estates or wills that would take effect after they passed away. This innovation helped the Class of 1912 successfully fund several scholarships and resulted in Forsyth being dubbed the Texas A&M Foundations father of planned giving.Photo courtesy of Cushing Memorial Library and Archives.'
